The estate refused.

They used it anyway.

@wadcorp that's interesting that there was asking involved.

I believe The Rolling Stones have asked a few times to stop using You Can't Always Get What You Want and also Neil Young asked them to stop using Rocking In The Free World. Don't know if either of those were asked or if they tried to sue. We'll see what happens with the Eddy Grant case.
