The lights have gone out in Marvin's eyes for the last time. Stephen Moore, the actor most famous for providing the voice of Marvin the paranoid android in The Hitch-Hiker's Guide To The Galaxy has passed away at the age of 81. He also played Adrian Mole's dad in the TV adaption of Sue Townsend's books, as well as the father of Harry Enfield's stroppy teenager character, Kevin and Felicity Kendal's ex boyfriend in the sitcom Solo. But it is as Marvin that he will be forever remembered by so many sci-fi fans.
