Rock City, Notts....All the great bands have played there...Well, I don't know about all, lol, but you get my drift...I've been there many. many times.
Imagine being able to say you'd seen the Human League, Magazine, The Undertones and the Bunnymen, all at the same venue and all within an 11 day stretch!...all for a tenner!!😲
These dates were in 1980, the opening year of Rock City. Went to The Bunnymen gig and it was electric!...Missed the others, because I was living away at that time (Wales) and came back to Notts that particular weekend Echo & the Bunnymen were playing...But I have seen the other bands play.
