I wasn't always a fan of Norm MacDonald (17 October, 1959 – 14 September, 2021), but he had a unique-sounding voice, delivery and perspective. He made me laugh a lot, actually, and reminded me of a 1940s or 1950s actor or comic-book character with that face of his. Apparently, he was the same offstage with the grin on, and he never learned to drive an automobile. Was an atypical celebrity, other celebs are saying. You didn't know when he was doing a bit and when he wasn't. Farewell, funnyman Norm.

RIP. Norm wasn't normal at all... he was a gentle clever witted chap and a SNL favorite for all time. It's funny to think of a comedian/artist and wonder, "what's he been up to?" and then after time passes, the news arrives of his demise. A very sophisticated and kind man. sympathies to his family and friends, and fans like us.
