I once heckled the band when they supported XTC, drunkenly shouting "fuck off" as they came onstage, quick as a flash he replied "same to you sir" - they then went and played a blinding set R.I.P.
They really should have been bigger and had wider recognition.
Damn, only just found out.
The Members were a good band and definitely had their own style and take on things, and I always liked them, 1977-1983 era.
The Sound Of The Suburbs is a classic, but they had other crackers too, and this is one of them
..a couple of other famous faces in this vid too (pretty easy to spot)
Aw no. I saw The Members support Eddie & The Hot Rods in about 1980 - they blew off stage.
