Sublime EBow/looper intro, glorious vocal by Lake, beautiful piano accompaniment, but then what sounds to me like a drunken clusterfook of a Moog solo at the end. I don't get it. Is it a sound engineering/delay malfunction? The attack on his synth sounds off....or is ???...I don't mind the histrionics, but the last 1/3 of this sounds awful. I've snagged the mp3 and edited it out. This will get lots and lots of play.
Every time I hear this track I then wanna hear the Alan Price track (and vice-versa) ...
That's Marc Bonilla on the guitar and vocals. The portamento was up too high on the Moog at the first part of the solo, then Keith shows off a bit. It's painful to see how he hardly uses the 4th & 5th fingers of his right hand to play, I think his nerve condition was really affecting him at this time. He's still my hero.
Whu?.... I admit great ignorance (never heard of Mark Bonilla) but my ears are good.
I was listening to Greg Lake also last night (same song) and it never occurred to me that it wasn't the same guy singing. Side by side clonability, voice-wise. Whu?...😮
