Oh no, yet another good guy gone. Very sad to hear about this. I saw Lou on the DVDs of Les Paul playing at The Iridium club in New York and he seemed to really sit back and give Les all the support he needed at that point in his life, and without ever attempting to grandstand over him. A very generous and accomplished musician who had a great command of the music and a wonderful raport with Les. Rest in peace, Lou...
Lou was the guitarist sitting next to Les on all of the you tubes at the Iridium in NY.
Also on the documentary about Les Paul ‘Chasing Sound’in Later years did an album with Keith Richards who was a fan of Lou Pallo. He played with all the ‘old timers’ Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis ect then every ‘Current Day’ rock performers when they paid homage to Les at the Iridium.
Guitarist Lou Pallo, who anchored the Les Paul Trio for decades and was once described by Keith Richards as "the man of a million chords," died Wednesday. He was 86.
Met Lou on a few occasions such a gentlemen and legendary guitarist. Last saw him about a year and half ago.
