Oh, I love catching live concerts on YouTube! It's such a cool way to experience shows from all around the world. The Claypool Lennon Delirium is awesome – that bass, man! Any other great live concert recommendations on YouTube, folks?
Two girls with a bass and a guitar and a shed-load of effects pedals and a guy on drums fill the room with wonderful noise. They've got 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 (dozen)... pedals working overtime.
@jimwarnerbka Just listened to the whole thing. Didn't get interrupted once. I am surprised. The new Youtube policy is they can stick ads into videos even if you are not monetized.
@merikan1 It's strange and apparently random. I've seen reaction videos for the same track where one will play all the way through uninterrupted, while another will have two or three ad breaks, and not even in sympathetic places (which they seemed to do previously). The same with reaction videos being blocked. One reactor will have a track reaction blocked, while another watching the same track will get a free ride.
My friend Jen played tracks from her band Hurtling's catalogue, plus a Nirvana cover. Her set starts around 58:30. The other ladies are pretty good too.
I remember watching this when it was first broadcast.
It is not really a concert. It is actually a tv broadcast. Sorry... the talkie bits are in Dutch. (You may want to skip the interview from 07:22 to around 9:00.)
I was at this concert. It was approaching my 17th birthday just before leaving school and going to art college. I went with a guy and two girls from school in his car. The gig was great, but getting out of the car park afterwards was purgatory - it took best part of an hour to get to the open road. By this time it was the early hours of the morning and the guy was falling asleep at the wheel, so he had to pull over in a service station for 45 minutes kip. We eventually got back to South London as the sun came up. One of the girls (who I had an unrequited crush on) had fallen asleep with her head on my shoulder. Just for a few moments life was perfect.
The commercials are getting more ubiquitous on Youtube. They used to appear in breaks in tracks on longer videos, but now they are dropping in anywhere, and they're double stacking them.😠
I think maybe you should have posted separately rather than replied to my Cardiacs post, Joe. People may get the idea that you went to their show rather than Bruce if they don't click your link, and let's face it, they couldn't be much more diverse!
Very nice amateur 4k video from what appears to be the front row at MSG. Two of my favorite musicians on what may be Mark Knopfler's final tour. This is quite lovely imo.

We attended this show. Last time around for Phil and the boys. Great show. Phil's voice has held up well these last 50* years. Video is edited a bit but gives a pretty good idea of how it sounded. Killer 12 minute+ version of 'Rock Bottom' (Starts at 30:30).
* I first saw UFO open for Montrose and Journey at Winterland (San Francisco) in September 1975. Almost 45 years ago now. Holy sh*t!

I love hearing live concerts on YouTube. However, the real power of a live concert can be heard just in person not from a media paltfroms.

Man, I wish that I could have seen them around this time.
Sorry. This used to be on here without commercials. They start appearing about 18 mins in ☹️
(For Joe Matt)
Our one and only Bruce concert at Winterland in 1978. A truly superb bootleg exists because is was a radio broadcast.
This is only the track Prove it All Night. I never really though of him a guitarist but my jaw dropped when he played this one🎸
Day On The Green #3: Ted Nugent, Aerosmith, AC/DC, Frank Marino & Mahogany Rush, St. Paradise (July 21, 1979)
Probably the last time we saw AC/DC (and Ted Nugent).
Mesmerizing performance from a London concert in 2004. Would love to hear the entire show.
Extraordinary performance and superb recording. Enjoy!
Let's rock!
