It's a fabulous photograph and drenched in atmosphere..I love it...It's almost like two worlds existing at the same time...a very peaceful image.
There was 'space' and calm back then, to take such photos.
I wonder if you went to that exact same spot today and tried to replicate this photograph, at least get as close as you could, what kind of result you would get (lack of traffic, people and sailing ships aside).
Mmm..might just try and do that next time in London..something similar at least.
Ahh, Nat.....one of my Dad's absolute favourites. I can still hear 'Mona Lisa' now, when I think, gently drifting through our house in the mid 1960's..lovely times....I fondly remember hearing Nat King Cloe, Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Chet Atkins, Perry Como, Dean Martin, Doris Day, Shirley Bassey etc, etc, back then..they were a staple in our house....and when I think, I realise just how lucky I was..π
Again, the Steve Jansen hair, what a great look!π......He looks like he should be collaborating with Jansen, Sylvian, Jan Bang, Nelson, Sakamoto, Czukay etc.....almost like a man out of his time.

Youβll still see cars like that here parked on those very streets, but less and less.
That second pic I am anticipating Bullitt's Mustang fastback launching into the frame.

The Airedale is just as disappointed as human companion at the big news. Incredible. The hair on the shopkeeper is incred. Almost like Steve Jansen.
The sign for Fairy Soap reminds me of that Paul McCartney lyric that has fairy cakes in it.
