Growing up I heard this phrase regarding acute injustice - "Might (power) makes right." Given the 4 page commentary on the Mueller report and the Smolett reversal, I suggest it be revised to - "Might, Money, and Influence makes right."
Might - single threat
Might, Money - double threat
Might, Money, Influence - triple threat
(Or any combination of the above)
As someone who feels they have a "bit" of a take on the true founding of the Americas (and for that matter the nationhoods of Europe, etc., I shudder that as part of the karma of the "Founding Fathers" and the "Houses" of Europe, etc. their various codes of laws/rule exhibit a cycle of law, misuse of law, chaos (shifts in power, money, influence, etc.), and then reestablishment/reworking/amending of law or ending of nation/revolution.
""Law"" (LOL) - I just keep wondering if law is really the establishment of the prejudices of a group or groups of people over other person(s) or people. I wonder if law is ""Civilizations'"" great step up (modification) of the scapegoat principle - justified sacrifice of the "other" (for the common good not the exemplary). In this wondering, Jesus being a "Catch 22" of the scapegoat principle - scapegoat as well as new law. Oh, well, he did say he was the Alpha and Omega - I guess implying that he's also everything that lies in-between also.
The wheel (earth) is ever turning after all! (wink, wink).
Now that I've gotten that off my chest(mind), and I've readjusted my mortal coil (via massage, etc) I can resume my part in the H.B influenced play "In the garden of earthly delights and punishments".
I hope these wanderings have provide a few moments of worthwhile perusing!!!!
