The Mandelbulber 3D fractal program is way awesome, way more involved than I have time for, and people are
taking it waaaaay farther than I would ever ....have time to, so I went back to an old 2-D program- Jalada- that I used up until 2016. I can get it to spit out a series of zooms of one fractal in half an hour. It's instant gratification eye candy.
