Bill's album 'Sounding The Ritual Echo' is included on his compilation album "Dreamy Screens: Soundtracks from the Echo Observatory". This is a compilation of 3 albums Bill made to soundtrack old movies that he has a fondness for. The second and third discs of the comp were supposed to be for Dr. Caligari and Jean Cocteau's Beauty And The Beast. However, i cannot seem to find what Sounding The Ritual Echo is supposed to be for.😿 Any help?

It's for the magic of the music. And magic it is.
'Sounding The Ritual Echo' was' not a soundtrack for anything, other than my dreams. It was an experiment in lo-fi atmospherics, recorded with the basic recording system I had at that time. For all its simplicity, it has a quiet charm that evokes other realms.
I remember this was a free album that came with the original vinyl release of "Quit dreaming and get on the beam".
It isn't actually a soundtrack for anything as far as I know but was composed over a period of time at Bill's then rather basic home studio for his own personal interest . The album sounds very different from the two soundtrack albums and is my favourite Bill Nelson album, not soundtracky and very atmospheric. Of course I could be wrong if so I'm sure someone will correct me.
