I am planning to travel by train from Oxfordshire later to arrive in Leeds at teatime. I understand from news reports this morning that travelling to Yorkshire today has been seriously disrupted by the weather. Can anyone closer to the ground, as it were, provide the latest and whether or not there will be any changes for the positive please?
Many thanks,
Douglas
Weather is fine today. Rain has finally stopped & we have clear blue skies in Glossop. I know there have been problems in Sheffield but not sure if there are any problems with train services to Leeds.

Thanks, Steve. Appreciate the reply.
Yes, parts of South Yorkshire especially the river Don are still causing havoc with flooding.
You should get in touch with whoever operates your rail service which goes without saying. I hope your journey goes smoothly.
Thanks, David, for your reply. I've checked National Rail Enquiries and it looks like I can get to Sheffield, possibly, but from there it could be a bus, presumably up the M1? Either way, I won't be in Leeds by 18:00 I don't think. Well, I hope people are safe up there despite the weather warnings. I will set off at lunchtime and hope for the best. It will be an adventure!
