Two photos I took on the night. I apologise for the poor quality of these. I was at the side of the stage, it was a small stage with low lighting and a low ceiling and there was a microphone stand blocking my view of Bill!
Merikan1: Thanks for the Youtube link to the 1981 gig! While I listened, I pretended it was 1981 again and that I had arrived in time for the London show I missed at the time. I was dancing in my head. :)
Sometimes I forget how much of a frantic dance number that “A Kind Of Loving” is and “Furniture Music” is a dance number as well, confirmed when listening to these performances of them.
Hypnotic offbeat off beats in this psychedelic performance of “Do You Dream In Colour?”.
Wow, this tour would have been my first time to see Bill, had I only arrived in London one day sooner! This was my first trip to London and though I was upset after discovering Bill had just played a gig the night before I arrived (!), I was tremendously excited to be able to buy the then-new “Quit Dreaming“ album while there.
Ian Nelson on saxophone 😎 and who else is in the band?

Nice pics.
There is a decent audience recording of this show.
Sounds like it was a good show. Too bad it is not a better recording.
Thanks so much for post these lovely photos. 😊🎼☮️
