Missed out on this one but received an email from Burning Shed saying that it is now available but when I go to the website it still says 'Out Of Stock'.
Locally, there has been a (hopefully resolved) walkout at a Royal Mail delivery depot over coronavirus distancing issues. 40% down on staff thanks to workers with symptoms, two workers have lost parents and a massive increase in workload. There may be more of these kind of problems elsewhere that are not being reported.
I'm just grateful for anything being delivered, late or otherwise.
Still waiting in Sarf London. Won't get twitchy for a few days though. Post is a bit haphazard at the mo. Seems to be some sort of disruption going on in the outside world.
The Jewel arrived today and I love it. Listened to it in the garden using my open-back headphones, and the real-world birdsong fitted in beautifully with Bill's playing!
Still waiting for my copy to reach Essex. It was, according to Burning Shed, sent on the 14th so I’m a bit concerned. I hope they keep a few copies in reserve in case of “no shows”.
I suggest giving it a couple of days to arrive, Southern Dreamer. I must have been one of the first four or five people to order this one on CD and it just arrived (only across the UK) today. I haven't had time to listen to it yet.
I'm sure the others are travelling as I type this.
Ordered my copy from Burning Shed weeks ago – and no show!
The day of official release today and my postie has been and gone; no problems I’m aware of with post at the moment and I’m currently at home all the time for obvious reasons, so it’s not like they’ve tried to deliver but unsuccessfully.
Must confess to being disappointed in BS; they’ve always got all my previous orders to me on time.
Doubly peeved knowing that it’s been available to download for a few days now – but don’t see why I should have to shell out again for digital copy when I should have the physical item to play by now.
Anyone else with a similar problem, or is it just me?
Heard from lou1492 in Panama City, Florida that he received his CD day before yesterday.
I’ve still not seen my copy here in Kansas City, but no worries as I know Burning Shed got them out when they say they did. Any delay is very likely the post.
Keep in mind folks, this was a PRE-ORDER, so the physical discs weren't manufactured yet when we placed our orders. Of course, uploading digital files can be done immediately, therefore Bandcamp had it available quickly. Patience IS a virtue.
My copy of The Jewel just arrived in the mail, and it couldn't have come at a better time. These past few weeks have been tough. Aside from the pandemic, there has been lots of sadness within my family recently, due to a variety of random terrible events.
Now, I can sit back, listen to some Bill Nelson music, which always soothes the soul, and forget about the problems for a while.
Thanks, Bill, and I hope you're doing well, considering your recent loss.

I didn't even know there had been a physical release. I was on the old mailing list from the previous forum, so perhaps that's why I missed out.

I recieved my CD the other day. Funny thing is I'd forgotten that I preordered so I got it from Bandcamp as well.
Two Jewels are better than none.
Must give that a try.
Have been using the Bandcamp Jewel as a drifting off and an awakening soundtrack these past couple of days. Nice travels.
Listening and loving The Jewel. First hearing of the Bandcamp
download. The most enjoyable Bill Nelson album I have heard in
a while. This little jewel has definitely been understated.
In California Boombox I can hear some electric waves flowing
over what sound like sizzling electronic pebbles. Or maybe it’s
something else.
Royal Blue to me fits the drifting and hovering of royal blue
butterflies as you often see them when you reach a certain
elevation in to the rainforest on misting mornings.
This album reminds me somewhat of the Illuminated at Dusk era
with a twist of the The Years.

Been listening today as well. It’s a corker. 🙏 The title ‘California Boombox’ gave me a laugh. 😎
