Richard Cowley took awesome photos. All the albums he promoted reflect a lot of mystery, quality, and professionalism. I have always admired his style of photography, the light, the shadows, the background, and the harmony he creates through different elements. I'm a second-year student at media and photography college, and now we're studying Richard's tactics. The Internet reveals many of its secrets, but also new ones. For example, in the search process, I found on http://backlightblog.com/star-photography-iphone how I could create some extraordinary pictures even with my iPhone.

certainly looks like it's from the "Quit Dreaming" sessions @ Haddlesey Village Hall.
The others look as if they were taken at a professional studio - especially
the one with you leaning on the mixing desk in what looks like a control room.
Maybe a mixing session for "Quit Dreaming" ?

Some of those photo's were taken in HaddleseyVillage Hall when I was recording the 'Quit Dreaming' album there. I think Richard was a friend of John Leckie's but can't be quite sure...it was a long time ago now! But judging from the number of pics he took of John, I think I might be correct in my assumption.
yes, I'm always amazed what you can find stumbling around the internet.
It is Richard Coward's website - I don't know where Cowley came from ...
BTW, I'm missing how to insert links to images rather than uploading images
themselves - I'm sure the "old" website used to allow inserting urls to images...
I'm thinking the photos were taken around the time of the "Sound On Sound" recording sessions at Virgin Townhouse Studios maybe ?
