Saw a copy in Wreckingball, Hull on Friday
For anyone who isn't able to go to a store today in person and buy a copy, then, as already mentioned above, if any stock remains at these outlets, they will be for sale online, live, Monday 20th June, from 8:00pm onwards.
I managed to get it at my local record store in Chester " Up North Records"
Love the name
@Axe Victim 😎👍
Out Today picked mine up in Frome at 8an
I'll be watching. Put it on my calendar. 😉
Couldn't find it for sale at the RSD website.
@Alan Couldn't find the 'buy it now' button.
@sauropod I'm not sure you can buy it until June 18th. I'm saving my money for that date. Thanks to James for starting this thread, or I may have let it pass me by.
Of course, I'm also looking forward to Electra, which I have pre-ordered. Good times here in Dreamsville. 😎
I'm in the US, and celebrated Record Store Day yesterday. However, I guess some releases are coming out later. I found this on their website: https://recordstoreday.com/SpecialRelease/14918
Hope the link works.
It’s not available until 18 June. It is linked or because of brexit and supply issues caused by that mental self destructive decision the right wing media brain washed the English to take 👍
@Axe Victim just in record shops on the 18th june RSD drop 2 ..and i guess there will be a online date after that.
@Axe Victim You can pre-order directly from the record shop.
@James Ellis i don't think you can ...in store sales only 18th June RSD 2 ...copies left over go on sale online on the 19th June.
As far as I can gather the pandemic has created a lot of supply chain issues for the record industry & so 18/06 has been designated as a second release date for any product which could not make 23/04.
But I still don't know if BBD is available right now.
Have I missed something here?? First time I've seen anything about this?? Has/was it released yesterday or is going to be released Record Store Day 18th June??
@Axe Victim It's actually unclear, Rough Trade records say it's In Stock but have a release date of 18/06/2022. That doesn't help.
it wasn't released today.
@Count Vlad That is one of my favorite BBD bootlegs too. Great sound. I am surprised that it didn't end up as bonus on the one of the box sets as so many other BBD bootlegs did.
@Orphan of Babylon Wow Rory! I saw Rory years ago in Toronto but missed BBD.
@merikan1 Yeah, sometimes I hear the guitar tone on AIAYL, and it sounds so thin. The one bootleg I have of BBD (Dream Car or Dream Tram?) had a really thin sound. I don't know how you can fly with that sound. The notes die. With the great sustain of LITAA you get to soar around. The solo is a bit unusual because Bill doesn't play his conventional licks. At times there is a great pause where he is probably thinking what to play. You certainly get the speed -- a little note miss, hardly noticeable -- and a great sound.
you know this has been put back to 18th june.
@jostmo Am in the UK, it's today & June as well. Went into store earlier & there were two full size boxes with LP's for customers, looks like £40 quid for BBD though.
@jostmo Ouch! £49.99 😬
