Forgive me but I've been absent from this forum for a while, and have a couple of things I wanted to raise as queries.
The first is about a live set by Bill's Ochestra Futura. If memory serves me correctly it may have been Nelsonica 10 in York. I was blown away by the magical sound created by Bill, Theo Travis and Dave Sturt and wondered if this had been recorded with a view to a CD release?
Or if Bill could assemble the guys to make a fresh recording?
I mentioned how much I enjoyed it, it was mesmerising, to Bill at the meet and greet that day.
I'd love to see the songs see the light of day.
'Plectronica'
December 1st 2018 Leeds Clothworkers Hall Had Orchestra Futura 4TET performing 3 long numbers
'The Institute Of Enchantment' (Department One) (With Orchestra Futura & Harold Budd)
'The Institute Of Enchantment' (Department Two) (With Orchestra Futura & Harold Budd)
'The Antique Antiquarian Futurist' (With Orchestra Futura & Harold Budd)
RECORDED ON A STREAMED VIDEO😍 MAYBE?FOR FUTURE RELEASE??!!😁
I'll add my voice to those who would love to have Orchestra Futura recordings available. I saw them several times at Nelsonica, and at Bill's 70th event, and always enjoyed it very much. I doubt that any recordings exist that would meet Bill's standards for release, and know Bill doesn't have a studio that would accommodate all three of these talented gentlemen so that they could improvise together, but a boy can dream, right?
hmmm,
Orchestra Futura performed sets at Nelsonicas @ York and also at
Bill's events at the Clothworkers Hall @ Leeds.
Can't remember about "The Dream Transmission Pavillion" (Harrogate Nelsonica)
- it's quite a while ago now ...
"Pixel" was a cracker of a number.
It was the Crown hotel in Harrogate, a great live set. Could do with a Bandcamp release 🙂
