Just booked at the Radisson Blu. Our usual old haunt 😊. Expensive but you can't beat the location.

5 pm GMT threw me a bit :)

Yeah sorry about a rush to get the notification typed up I forgot we were in British Summertime! 🤪

@Jon That's why I had my alarm in Japan set for 01:00, because 5pm GMT is 02:00 JST and I wanted to be READY. But I checked at 01:15 and it was open so I thought, aaagghhh Jon meant BST not GMT! :-)

Hi all, Got my ticket I look forward to seeing some new and familiar faces. Thought the bulletin knowing when they were going on sale was a great idea and the time will also be of benefit to our cousins across the pond and elsewhere. See you all November 9th

One hour in and less than 30 tickets left. Don't delay good Nelsonians!

Booked the tickets. Do we now rush to catch the last train home to Brough with all the drunken people on hen and stag parties; (it's good fun really), or stay over and socialize?

Ticket purchased, see you on the 9th

Highest Regards,

Hi Comsat Angel. I'd like to talk to you about the Comsats!

Hello chums. After missing last year's do, I was determined to get this this year! I'm currently in Japan so set alarm for 01:00 this morning! Success! cheers!

Ticket & Hotel booked, just in the nick of time it seems !

Hello @Merikan1. Is the Raddison Blu as good as you say? I've seen a couple of negative comments but I suppose that is usual. The Mrs. and I might stay over and it is cheaper than The Hilton Double Tree where we usually stay in Leeds.

I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Leeds City Centre - Armouries for the 2017 show. Cheapish, nice location but a long walk from the Clothworkers, water taxi from Leeds Dock into town. Horrible breakfast though!

We have stayed at the Radisson every time we have come to an event. Great breakfast, pleasant staff. We have had no problems at all. It can be a bit noisy depending on where you are in the hotel. Last year, there was a carnival on the square in front of the hotel. It is right in the middle of town. Just up the street from the Train station. The airport bus drops you off right at the corner. Plus, it is 10-15 minutes easy walk to the Clothworkers Hall. It works for us.

  • Just wanted to say a sincere thank you to everyone for their amazing kindness and warmth our family received last Saturday in Leeds . As a lifelong fan of Bill Nelson it was an honour to be invited to the Old Haunts Event to represent our daughter`s charity Sara`s Hope Foundation A sincere thank you to Bill for his loyal support and having Bill as a Patron of Sara`s charity means so much to me and my family .Through Bill's music I have met so many amazing people who we consider family . Ian Haydock, Eddie McSheffrey,Duncan Noons, Paul Gilby,Jon Wallinger,Martin Bostock, Caroline and Colin Hunter are such a great team and a lovely bunch of warm hearted people who always organise a wonderful event ..right from the Nelsonica`s to the recent event. All of friends really are good people and it was fab seeing old and new faces .I must say a big thank you to a great guy Mike Robinson for donating the magnificent guitar which Bill kindly personalised with his unique style of artwork. Thanks to everyone who purchased tickets for the charity prize draw and congratulations to the worthy winner.Another special guy who is a loyal supporter of Sara`s charity Paul Cosgrove presented us with a cheque for 322.50 from his work and our lovely friend from Ireland made a cash donation - Thank you Eugene and Noleen ! In total the charity raised an amazing 1679.50 GBP... We were over the moon but not surprised as Bill and his Nelsonian family have always been very generous to our daughters charity . Bill was is superb form and we loved every second of his live performance and were blown away with the Old Haunts album ...a magical and memorable day So thank you Bill , Emi ,Elle Elliot and Julia for your kindness and to Bill for making music which is both magical , unique and always connects with my heart - See you next year Warmest wishes Ged Julie Sara Mark and Faye xxxxx
