It's nearly Mother's Day and if I can make a suggestion: Bill should do a video of one of his songs that contains footage of his mom. Bowie did it in "Ashes to Ashes" and I did with my mom covering Bowie's song. You can see my mom in happier days if you check out my "Ashes to Ashes" video on Youtube. My mom's still alive but God knows for how long, and I don't want to send her to a nursing home because COVID will kill her. My brother is taking care of her and it is a tireless, unthankful task. I'm glad Bill has feelings for his mom. When my mom dies I don't know how I'll feel. With my dad I didn't feel anything.
The funny thing is that your feelings with regard to your parents hardly change through life... They can be both good, bad and mixed feelings and you will still still react regardless of your age. It's like it has been ingrained in you or the dye has been cast and there is no changing it. Jimi Hendrix said the same thing about imprinting animals (not the band Animals). So Mother's Day is upon us and may we all feel good about it.
