would certainly treasure, the mixed up kid as a physical cd disc in package, a certain treasure chest of bill's music for sure something for all to enjoy, superb, fanx.
it's the spark bill, never turn yer machine off!!!!! we need you now as alway'z, many fanx, to, and all, who are involved, ever turning the wheel'z of amazement.
Terrific news, Bill, and I’m going to say that my fave title, so far, is “Maybe it’s my eyes”! Also, love the cover art you displayed, and hoping that’s used for the final version. I’m looking forward to purchasing and downloading from the ‘Camp!
You may be wondering why a release date for 'MIXED UP KID' hasn't been announced yet...well, the answer is that I'm still working on recording more tracks for the album. Three more are in the can already since my last update and another one is on the 'drawing board.' I can't seem to find the off switch on my recording machine!😉😁
I now have 12 tracks recorded and mixed for the album 'MIXED UP KID.' Next step is to decide their running order and then get them mastered at Fairview. You could think of this album as a kind of 'prequel' or even a sequel to 'My Private Cosmos' (though I'm hoping to release it prior to that massive six disc set.) The 'Mixed Up Kid' title comes partly from the fact that the album is a mix of styles with instrumental and vocal tracks covering a range of genres, from meditative, introspect to jazz funk, pop and rock. It's an interesting listen...
Here is a list of the tracks that will be on it, though this is not a running order.
I download a lot from Bandcamp. Quite often the download is much cheaper and there is no shipping cost. There are also none of the extra handling charges and import costs tacked on for purchases from outside the EU. These days if I find a release that I like and it is not on Bandcamp, I generally don't pursue it any further. Lots of music out there. It is a fairly simple matter to burn a cd from a download. Especially if you download in 'wav' format. (Personally, I download flac and then convert to wav.) It is a minor hassle making the covers. I usually use slimline cd cases. That means only one insert to format and print. That makes it very simple.
Hello! I just discovered your music today. Someone who releases seven albums in a single year has my immediate attention and respect. In that, you remind me of Steve Lacey.
I listened to the first Be-Bop album a few hours ago and am now listening to Dazzlebox. I'll do my best to fill in the in-between.
Welcome to Dreamsville. You have a lot of catching up to do. If you do a bit of patient searching, you will find dozens of 'where to begin' posts that will help you with catching up on Bill's releases. There is also a Discography page with fan reviews and recommendations on the site. Fortunately for you, you have Bandcamp as a resource. 10 years ago, you would have had to spend a fortune on Ebay to get those releases. Enjoy discovering Bill's fantastic back catalog.
