Having to say goodbye to my old cherished Gretsch White Falcon next week as it has been bought by a fan to make way for a new White Falcon. So here are two photo's taken of the new guitar this afternoon. It's a twin cutaway 1962 limited edition reissue and a fabulous guitar. I'll be very sad to see the old one go, but this new one should help me get over it!😉😀

Oh, and according to wikipedia Ms Osborne moved to California in 1968
and started a guitar manufacturing company, Osborne Guitar Company.
Joe Strummer wielded one of these very early in the Clash, then came the Tele, Falcon went to Johnny Thunders I think.
hmmmm, very nice guitar Bill.
Gretsch G6136T-62-LTD Limited Edition White Falcon with Bigsby
and you've bagged 1 of the 15 allocated to the EMEA region 🙂
What a great guitar. After getting your email I was indeed tempted but with the Covid travel restrictions, the better part of my sanity won. Of course, I would have had to sell one of my guitars too and that, well, helped control the urge.
Glad you got it after so many years of desire.
How about a short demo video ala RJ Ronquillo?
🤞🏼 Lovely guitar Bill👍🏼
Look forward to seeing you play that live sir 😃✊
I remember seeing a photograph, back in the 1960's, of a band called 'The Cresters' whose guitarist had a 1962 White Falcon, exactly like the limited edition reissue I've just bought. I think The Cresters were from Sheffield, though I could be wrong. Their guitarist was called Richard Harding. Here's an old publicity photo' of him with his White Falcon. I thought the guitar looked fabulous and seeing The Cresters with one, plus reading about the guitar in the Gretsch catalogue, set my wheels in motion to finally have one of my own today...
That is a beautiful instrument, Bill, but I have a twinge of friendly envy for the fan who bought your original White Falcon!
Lovely, Bill. I'm hoping to score a 6120 "Smoke" before too long.
All the best, 'Pod.
Can you send some of that sunshine to the south, please?
V.v Nice Bill ! 😎
