Very sad to hear the news of the death of Michael Chapman, a wonderful and unique guitarist who's music stretched from acoustic folk to experimentalist soundscapes. Born in Hunslet, Leeds in 1941, (where my father worked in the '50s and '60s,) I first heard Michael's work on the John Peel radio show and immediately recognised his talent. Always under the radar to some degree he nevertheless influenced many contemporary players. And again, we're coming to the end of a long line of great musicians whose like we may never see again...🙁
