Keep your eyes on this site next week when a FREE new track will be posted for you to listen to.
Titled 'The Lockdown Song, (It's All Downhill From Here,)' it was recorded during the first UK lockdown, but still seems it might be appropriate for the current moment. It's one of the Cubase recordings that I've amassed and will appear here in its raw, unmastered and naked state. (Heck, you're getting it for free, so don't expect it to be polished to burnished!) ๐
So, stay tuned early next week and enjoy a totally gratis musical amusement! Coming your way soon with my compliments...๐
played out on the show tonight - love it, thank you Bill
Heeeeehehe Fantastic ๐ฎ๐
Opening lyrics to The Lockdown Song state: "Who could imagine this state of play? We're all living in a bubble, we're bubbling away..."
Can relate to the complex emotions + numbness in his puzzled expression, the (not exactly) crossed eyes that are somewhere between annoyed and bewildered, festive hat on head, the gaze is skyward and not ... he's waiting for the Midnight Flyer perhaps?
Nice! Thanks Bill.๐
Oh,I see! Thanks, Bill. It's a strangely evocative image, isn't it? Dark and creepily mischievous. I do look forward to the song. You've written inspired by politics once or twice before, I think, but I can't think of anything else non-political from international current affairs - well none that were easy to spot!
Actually, it's not Pinocchio, though I can see why you might think it was. It's a paper mask of a 'funny' man with a mustache which I attached to an antique wooden wig stand. The hat is a children's party hat which I bought because it resembles a hat that Rupert Bear wore at a Christmas party in an old 1950s Eupert Annual story. I added it to the creation to bring more of a comic element to the image. I then placed it in our garden shed, a dusty, cobwebbed place, and photographed it through the window as if the man was looking out at the world from his confinement.
Can't wait!
Pinocchio looks as though he's having doubts about becoming a real boy.
Let's face it... if he does any lying, that mask won't stay on for long!
I just want to know how Pinocchio managed to get that mask on, I guess heโs lucky he doesnโt wear glasses or they would be constantly steamed up.
Can't wait to hear it, Bill!
