Damn! This should not be happening with my favorite English musician. Any Apple/Cubase geeks in Bill’s vicinity? I use Windows 10 now—quite stable, but I know that doesn’t help. Sorry, Bill. Hopefully by Autumn you’ll be in “DAW kick out the jams“ mode.
P.S. Is it too late to return your copy of Cubase? Just finished watching above video...ughh. Reason 10 - give it a try at least.
Also, check to make sure the software is the current version - there might be a 10 point something update you need.
And make sure the drivers you have installed are the proper ones for your computer, interface, and OS.
See if the company offers an online chat; this can be helpful when setting up a new system.
Good luck, Bill!

Don't know whether this might help...it's basic, but complete system set-up info (for Mac), and I know it's using Cubase Pro 9 and the audio interface is different, but the basic set-up principles will be very similar....might be worth a look, just in case something/some step may have been overlooked.
In any case, good luck and hope you get it up and running soon....I've heard Cubase Pro 10 is really quite user friendly and intuitive, so it might not be as daunting as you think Bill....hope it works out!
