Channel Light Vessel

Hey Bill , hope you’re well and Emi also. Ok, i’m setting myself up for the resounding No. Are there any unreleased tracks from Channel Light Vessel? And could you see yourself participating in another adventure with the group, naturally accommodating health concerns. Wishing you well.

Hi all,

I jiust checked th Cherry Red website and it does say, as above, that this is the "newly remastered" edition, by which I assume they are referring to the box set remaster. Conversely, the recent vinyl reissues of "Sunburst Finish" and "Fururama" (on blue vinyl) featured the box set REMIXES. So is the current description an error? That is, did they mean to say "remix" rather than "remaster"? I have a perfectly lovely NM Harvest copy with a still glossy gatefold cover that I can't see any reason to replace. if the new version is just a digital remaster. Conversely, the remixes in all of the box sets, including, most spectacularly, "Sound on Sound" and "Quit Dreaming," are total sonic upgrades. And so if the "Axe Victim" features the REMIX, I'm in. Otherwise, I'll likely just keep what I have. If they are going with the remaster here rather than the remix, I'd be interested to know what the thinking was.

Set Me As A Seal Upon Thine Heart

From Duplex Instrumental...

I believe my local NPR station used to use the first 10-30 seconds of this to fill in airtime between shows.... hard to imagine.

I just heard this song while listening to Duplex, and it struck a memory..

I wonder if anyone else has heard this as sound filler?

Bill's massive output of music

While the downside is I can't logistically have them all in my collection, the major upside is that there is gold in them thar hills.

I just bought Studio Cadet which I hadn't come across previously, and it now already one of my favourites along side Model Village. Different obviously, but they both carry me away...

What other instrumental releases have I missed that would go next to those two on my shelf?

I have been obsessing over Japanese music for a while now, as I feel that it honors a couple of artists that have passed. But when you asked the question there were several titles that ran through my mind:

Picture Post

Pedalscope

Practically Wired

Fantastic Guitars

I prefer physical discs, but the downloads can be - instantly yours - a bonus.
