Jeff Beck would tour. I saw him as often as I could. One of my biggest regrets was
"losing" a concert due to drug use. Kingdome Seattle. I was there, but I was not there. I arrived "home" about 3 days later and everybody thought I was dead. Thankfully, I have 39 years of sobriety now. While I turned my back to those days, I kept listening to Jeff, as well as Bill to get me through my life.
I am trying to remember it was either a concert or a filmed interview that he wore some very tribal piece and he said that he was gifted it. So, I felt a kinship with him.
He also had a clip at MOPOP - the Music Museum in Seattle, in which he said that Hendrix could play these notes that he just could not, because he was English. I think he was leaning on a custom car at the time. Folks in the audience snickered. That is how I want to remember him, an unforgettable talent that was gracious and open.
