A Ten Year Archive
Ten years ago, in the USA, Mark Rushton, built the first ever Bill Nelson website, 'Permanent Flame'. Mark patiently enlarged the site over a period of several years, amassing images and press cuttings, photos and memorabilia to create a valuable resource for Bill's fans. After five years of stewardship, Mark handed the site on to superfan Chuck Bird who maintained it as webmaster until April 2005. Thanks to Chuck and Mark's generosity and their desire to have things progress, the billnelson.com domain name has been handed on to Bill himself and the files of 'Permanent Flame' put at his disposal.
As a fixed tribute to the original site and to both Mark Rushton and Chuck Bird, their work has been archived in 'The Permanent Flame Museum'. The museum will function as both a memorial and an appreciation, as well as an extra resource for fans curious to see the foundations upon which Dreamsville was built. Here in Dreamsville's Pleasure Park, old Flames continue to be Permanent.
