I "won" this pawn shop prize today and I am SO psyched!

It's an older brother to my Electra "Maple Pro" that Bill autographed in '96 in San Francisco. I keep that one in the studio only, so this puppy will stand me in good stead live.

I probably got this at such a low price because the people selling it had no idea what it is. It is NOT a "jerry Garcia", but an "Elvin Bishop" designed model with a trapeze tail instead of the stop-bar like my Maple Pro has.
Exact same "tree of life" inlay on the neck and I'm sure it sings! It listed for $469 back in 1976 so since I've already been offered $1200 for it, this is a great investment for a poor boy like me!

I'm sure Amber and Elvin will get along just fine. You'll be hearing from them both very soon.

Cheers everyone! Thanks for letting me share!

Yeah shedster, are those disco shoes hot or what?

I'd have traded the axe for them but they're too big for me. Darn!

With those shoes and that magic wand I took a photo of in Brighton, who knows what dreams might come true!?

I'd better save myself for prison, though...

The "Elvin" just arrived today. It was "packed" only in the hardshell case that is too large so they stuffed a pillow in it. The case was thrashed, but Elvin seems none the worse for wear. I'll know for sure once I get it home and plug it in to my amp.

Bit thinner than my Maple Pro, but the setup is perfect! The neck pickup has had its humbucking cover reversed, so I'm interested in hearing the tone.

I'll ba back with a full report later.

Cheers!!
