He's gone then, big falling out with Daniel Levy, he'll be off to the middle east on a massive earner now,

Levy wouldn't forgive him for finishing 4th & failing to qualify for the champions league :(

Harry Redknapp sacked by Tottenham as Daniel Levy targets David Moyes

So it goes,

Nice one. But I still hold a slight hope of getting into the next round.

This was my first thought as well -- if England disappoint.

I have a feeling Spurs will not do so well next season. Harry has built a very expensive team -- a team that had to get a champs league place to justify itself -- and a few of their top players have been talking about moving on. If he had stayed, I don't think Spurs would have finished in the top four next season. As it is, I think whoever takes the job on is going to have to do a major squad re-build.

As a life long Evertonian I am dismayed at the prospect of Moyes leaving for Spurs. The timing is terrible. The managerial merry go round has had a turn and the 2 best young managers in the league have moved on. Lambert to Villa and the Irish fella Rodgers to Liverpool. Both clubs have done OK in my opinion - if Moyes goes who will want the Everton Job? Not Martinez I hope. I like Adkins at Southampton but he has a good thing going down there. I would have preferred Lambert - he is very much in Moyes' image

Redknapp?

Seriously, though, Moyes has done brilliantly there and would be a hard act to follow. There are a few possibles out there. Maybe Mowbray currently at Boro. I know he isn't a 'big name', but he has got a good track record. McDermott at Reading also did very well for them, but perhaps doesn't have quite the long list of achievements.

Then there's also Ian Holloway and Malky Mckay. Both have done well with very limited funds, which is probably important for Everton.

The football business model just defies belief

Yesterday the TV rights for the Premiership were sold and will generate 70% more income.

In fact the clubs could let people into the ground for free and still have more money than before.

Will this bring an end to clubs going into administration and put fotball on a stable financial footing?

Well the first three things mentioned were the likely problem of the big clubs wanting a bigger share of the money, the growing queue of foreign money launderers wanting to own the clubs and the advent of the £1m per week footballer

And the average lifetime of a manager at a club will continue to fall
