Summer is coming!.. 8) :D .......apparently :roll:

..and everyone loves the sunshine, so, name your favourite summer songs.

Well, it might help put us in the mood a little, for when it eventually arrives....some of my favourite summer tunes include

The Undertones - 'Here Comes The Summer'
Isley Brothers - 'Summer Breeze'
Otis Reading - '(Sittin' On) The Dock Of The Bay'
ELO - 'Mr Blue Sky'
The Kinks - 'Sunny Afternoon'
The Dandy Warhols - 'Bohemian Like You'

And why not? The B-Side. An excellent cover of Ride's 'Vapour Trail';

The Blossom Tree Optimists - Bill Nelson

Not strictly a summer tune but somehow Who Knows Where the Time Goes - Fairport Convention does it for me 8)

Also, and perhaps embarrassingly....Pretty Maids All In A Row - The Eagles :oops:

Modern Music Suite - Be Bop Deluxe 8)

The Extremist is the last album of Satch's that I bought, a pretty solid body of work from what I remember........I bought it on cassette and it ultimately got chewed up in my friends head unit......whilst out on a summer drive, ironically :( :lol:
