It would have been even cooler if Phil posed with different coloured glasses matching the vinyl. 8)

Coloured vinyl is surely a thing of beauty.
I used to have a Squeeze pink vinyl Cool For Cats single.
In fact I had a load of shaped discs, coloured vinyl, Vinyl with free baseball hats, T Shirts, Cat, Space Ace, demon, Star Child masks etc etc.

Alas all gone...
In fact not 8 months ago I dumped a tea chest full of vinyl (Luckilly many were just greatest hits lps and not many rarities) because they were taking too much space up in our new place. :?
Only to find that vinyl on EBAY was taking off again in price.Darn it !!

From what I've read, colored vinyl has about 90-95% of the sound quality of black (virgin?) vinyl.

I've got 2 Mobile Fidelity LPs, one boxset from VOD(Vinyl-on-demand), and one from the Simply Vinyl label.

I do not yet have any of the Quiex pressings.

Noticeably better?? :?:

I know that there are several of The Who titles pressed on Quiex.

My Ariston Q Deck is still going strong 20 years after I bought it. Brilliant turntable.

Apparently it is now HMV policy to stock more new vinyl because of the upsurge in demand. My only gripe is the price of some of these releases - £20+ is a bit on the steep side for my wallet.

I've been using the audio-technica record care solution which has produced nice results. One should also clean their stylus regularly. I use Mr Clean Magic erasure with great results.

If you've got the $ to spare, there certainly are some beautiful turntables to be had, on both a technical and design level. 8)
