As a big Curved Air fan I have also become aware of Mask, Sonja Kristina's collaboration with Marvin Ayres, and then throught that, Marvin's own solo work. (check out Youtube for various tracks).
Marvin' latest project is called Sacred Spaces - and he has recorded parts of this in places as diverse as Bretton Chapel in the Yorkshire Sculpture Park ( my suggestion!) , Concorde, Winchester Cathedral & BBC Bush House. He has so far funded the project from his own pocket, at great expense, but now needs to find another £2000 to complete it. I wondered if any of you kind souls would make a pledge-doesn't have to be for much, if you can manage £5 that would be great or whatever you can afford. You need to have a Paypal account & the pledges will not be taken until beginning of May. If you pledge £5 or more, you will be given free access to his 3d sound installations of the finished work (some of them with Martin Ware ex Human League) later this year. See attached for further details -higher pledges will gain even more! (Sonja Kristina has promised rare signed Curved Air singles, or rare Curved Air tracks for the bigger pledges! )

I'd be glad to contribute as soon as he buys a copy of my CD:

I've never had a recording contract like Curved Air, what's that like?

To be honest I think it's a bit of a liberty and a cheek to be asking to pledge money to help another 'artiste' on our Bill's own website  Bit inappropriate really :|

I'm seriously tempted to tell you to fuck off, but after a warning from the mods, I don't do that type of thing any more. So it's just a 'no thanks' from me.

Moderator - Obviously the warnings haven't paid off, neither have the PMs in the past, so after yet another complaint it's "Cheerio" to you! I REALLY do have better things to do! - Jon.

Supposedly, it's the thought that counts.

I don't see a problem with this.

It doesn't interest me, and I won't be contributing. But the post is only highlighting an art project seeking funding for anyone who may be interested. Where's the harm in that?

Steady on guys and gals!...that's no way to address a fellow Nelsonian, is it? Like PMT, it don't interest me either, but it's a tad off to shoot them down in flames like that  ...nothing wrong about being passionate about something and wanting to share with others..

Peace..

Andy
