Just completed another track for the 'Dreamshire Chronicles' album. Have been working on it for the last two days. It's titled 'The Sparkling Idea.'

Unfortunately, due to a combination of digital misprint and senior pilot error, (well, it happens to the best of us,) I've accidentally erased (damn,) the final mix of 'Welcome To Dreamshire,' which means that I'll have to call up the original multi-track again and re-mix it from scratch.
Too late to do this tonight, and I have to visit my mum tomorrow, so it may be late Sunday or early next week when I can attempt to repair the damage done. Oh, well...probably a result of studio exhaustion as much as anything else. I've been working constantly and obsessively on new albums since 2012 kicked in.
Nevertheless, 'The Sparkling Idea' sounds pretty good at this late juncture of a Friday night.

how frustrating !!! all things happen for a reason - you'll probably end up with a far superior final mix in the end

I seem to remember something similar happening during the recording of the "Sailor Bill" album, or perhaps it was an equipment malfunction?

One day, when they have invented time travel, some lucky Bill Nelson fans will be treated to "The Lost" sessions. :)

 Just one word of advice Bill:

Backup

Or should that be two words? :?

Having said that, I'm sure all will fine and dandy in the end. 8)

How do you create tracks so quickly Bill ?. Everytime I look in on this thread, you've created yet another backing track. Amazing. The only other musician I know of who is so prolific is Roine Stolt (formerly of The Flower Kings) Has Theo Travis your 'reed-man', ever mentioned him to you Bill ? They have worked together in a band called, The Tangent. Perhaps you should work with Roine, I could imagine you getting on musically. Well, maybe I'm in Dreamshire myself today ?

 sorry, I shouldn't have been going on so obsessivly about Roine Stolt.

. . . accidently deleting your mix  . I seem to remember you doing something far worse (the complete bunch of tracks I think) when you recorded Mister Mysterioso ? on your fabulous Whimsey double album.

Hey Major, I agree, a collaboration between Bill & Roine could produce interesting results. :)

Latest track for 'The Dreamshire Chronicles' is a song I can only describe as a strange ambient ballad...it's titled 'Young Marvelman.' It's spooky, asymmetrical, non-linear, brief and slightly unsettling. But also, for me, quite evocative and beautiful. This album is turning into something of an enigma.

A brief excursion into one of Dreamshire's tangled shadows 'Young Marvelman' seems. 8)
