Heavenly Homes is a masterpiece....the guitar solo is absolutely transcendent. Unsurpassed!

I've said it before and I'll say it again, 'Heavenly Homes' is the greatest piece of recorded music I've ever heard. It's just mindblowing, a moment of genius created by Bill, Andy Clarke and John Leckie especially. I remember conversing with John at the last Nelsonica about how Andy's piano background is like a whole song in itself. 8)

P.S. and Bill's guitar solo's on that piece...Well no wonder Randy Rhoads became a fan.

Sometimes I'd like to be in a room with George Martin listening to this track when I hear it, just to witness his reaction to it.

I like the whistling at the end, which conjures up -- for this listener -- images of early 20th Century animated cartoons of jaunty beings whistling through a hike, onward through a dense and imposing wood, at dusk. 8)

Wish I could say Blossom Tree Optimists, but...SOS sent it on the 23rd and still no reach down thisaway.

BBUUTT!!! For a true BBD feel good experience I must say SHINE as heard on Live in The Air Age. Wonderful in a dark room with a glass of wine, candle light and company...OR...on a suny day washing teh car, or sawing wood in the patio.

The chorus is very uplifting and surreal, in 'Shine'. Whenever the sun breaks through, it's impossible not to have that chorus come to mind, sometimes.

I like the percussion jam in 'Shine,' which is similar to the percussion jam in 'Life In the Air Age' and similar to the percussion jams in "Lights" and what Charlie Tumahai is involved in this 1972 footage:

Oh Yes Alec, That great bass line and the bursts of lead guitar. In my opinion BeBopDeluxe music all comes alive on Live in the Air Age.
