Very interesting!

Just curious, which photo came first, if you know?

Hmmm ... It'd have to be Che, actually, Lou, because he vanished from the planet in 1967 AD and that photo of Syd is in his manager's office in 1971 AD.

Thanks alec. As you can tell, my knowledge of Che and the Floyd is very limited.

That's quite all right, Lou. I don't want to come across as some sort of know-it-all, smarty-pants.  :?

Yes...you really should...it contains some interesting insights into those 40 years celebrated by the boxed set. :)

It is, in fact, the modest, but perfectly formed, golden pipe organ of The Clothworkers Hall, at Leeds University's Faculty Of Music where Martin and I created those images, (probably familiar to those of you who attended 'The Art School Ascended On Vapours Of Roses' concert and exhibition in October of last year.
(Hmmm...Next time I play there I should really try to incorporate that instrument into my performance.)

The Leeds Town Hall pipe organ looks like temple from ancient Sumeria.

Bill, I'm hoping you'll record a pipe organ CD, either at The Clothworkers Hall or, especially, the one at Leeds Town Hall with its 6,500 pipes.

True confessions time.

I finally got The Practice Of Everyday Life ordered.

My mother-in-law was looking for something to get me for Chrimbo, so I said, "Gee… I have an idea…" :)

Thanks, Bill. I know I'll enjoy it, even though I have most all the music included.

Looking forward to seeing the packaging, liner notes, et. al. Everyone is saying that the graphic design is top-notch.

Money has been tight. It was either get the various releases you put out over the past year, or TPOEL.

At least I've finally gotten round to it.

And a big thumbs up to the folks at Cherry Red for putting this, and the re-releases, out.

True that!! I am about to go nuts in the SOS shop! I'm running about a year and a half behind in releases (or so) and am about to go all out. Getting some as gifts from my parents for Xmas (since they don't know what to get me) and some I'm getting myself just because!

TPOEL is monumental. Got it last Xmas (thanks Mom!) and the whole set flows beautifully. For me though, disc 8 and the tune "Time Tracking" made it all worth it. I've had a so-so FM recording of the tune for a while, so to have it in flawless format is a thing of beauty!

Thanks Bill!
