Gus G1 Midi Guitar

What do you need with the GUS G1 to make it work Betty?

Hi Peter
The Gus guitar has 2 outputs, One of which is a 13 pin din midi output which goes directly in to the Roland GR20, (Synth) which I then put through a Roland KC350 keyboard amp (then line out to PA)
The other output is stereo, one of which is magnetic pick ups that goes through multiple effects and in to the Boogie, the other is Piezo ( sorry if misspelt) or the acoustic which I feed in to a Roland AC60, gets a bit complicated at times but some very big sounds by blending all 3 together, ie Strings, acoustic and maybe some delay and chorus on the magnetic side, endless possibilities, I think the GR20 has something like 540 sounds ,though this is know obsolete, I think it has been replaced by the new GR77 ( or something like that)

OK I'm tempted Roger - just have to complete the sale of the Firebird and Ricky 360 and I'm in the market for a GUS or a Prince Cloud guitar that a friend is selling.

You will not be dissapointed if you go for the Gus peter, the build quality is absolute perfection, in fact the bass guitarist in the band I am in is going to get a Gus 5 string Bass built.

Simon Farmer ( who is Gus Guitars ) is the most helpful of people I have ever met, extremely proffesional, whatever you want he will do it for you, one guy wanted a guitar sprayed the same colour as his jag, so Simon ordered the paint from Jaguar to do it, allow at least 6 months for him to build one though, if I am correct he takes a 40% deposit, but he also sent me pics on how the build was going.
He also makes the same style guitar without midi if you want it, with or without tremelo, you can have peizo fitted if you want, or even a sustain driver fitted in the neck position, nothing is too much trouble for him.

You should be on shares Rog .... It's on the list - now if I could just get that repeat booking in Romania all would be well ... :D

All lovely, except the 1979 Strat which I no longer play as it is probably the worst guitar I've got but a good long term investment.
I've set my heart on a Fender JV next. 8)
