Following on from 2011's 'Model Village,' Sonoluxe's Super-Listener Series presents 'Songs Of The Blossom Tree Optimists', a 15 track, neo-baroque, dream-folk album featuring acoustic guitars, minimalist orchestra and percussion, all topped off with Bill's melodic vocals. The album's lush odes to Spring and the rustic, sensual pleasures of imaginary Summer evenings take the listener down green and leafy paths to secret gardens and shining fountains. A splendid companion piece to 'Model Village' but at the same time something entirely new.

i had but a few minutes to swing and sway over to the salon to taste the samples, and they are delightful!!! are these new recordings??? remastered by the master??? i'll take them either way, since i must return for shopping after tax refund day!

the cover illustrates so perfectly that this set of recordings are "a walk, a stroll, in the park... and there are lots of cherry blossom trees!" i remember having one in our yard growing up as a child... my mum was a gemini, perfect in every way, including every plant, tree, shrub, bush, brush, grass, vine and ivy in the yard that she orchestrated! very modest, of course, tiny hou :wink:

These are all new, previously unreleased songs, written and recorded last year. The album was originally intended as a 2011 release but the Legends performance and the proposed, then postponed, November tour, plus the seasonal holiday break conspired to delay the actual release until now. But they're not old songs re-mastered, it's an album of completely new material.
