So many to choose from, but none are exactly right. And this next one will be no exception! When this one started out I had high hopes for it. But as I started tracking, it became less and less special and more and more atypical. I won’t lie, whenever I write a song for myself, I try to write a ‘hit'. Something catchy that people will easily remember so they can take it along with them in their heads. But I can tell when it just doesn’t make it, and this is clearly one of those which don't.

But having said that, it still has some value. An ok melody, some egotistical instrument flourishes, a mad hatter lyric. All the things I usually saddle a tune with. But hopefully it will still click with some of you at some level. I was thinking about Pete Townshend when I wrote this one. Not saying it sounds like The Who, just saying it was a starting point. And for some reason that I cannot begin to explain, I even bring up 2008’s world financial bubble bursting. Things is, I wrote this track in 2004.

Cheers EERO. But I must confess, this time they were synthetic. Usually they are real but I never got around to doing them proper. But then again, it’s only a demo.

Haven't dropped in here for ages, thought I'd have a look and see what's going on....and I come across this little ditty from you, you little hit maker you! Really enjoyed that Julien, a fine slice of pop that's catchy, hummable and memorable....Great stuff! 8)
