I rather miss the fun we all had when we still had the Dreamsville Music Challenges. But I now have the same kind of fun with the Monthly Music Challenges for 'Jude's', Coconut Blues Club on Soundclick. Don't be fooled by the title . . . it's not Blues music. In fact this month's challenge is Music of The Orient China / Japan etc.. lots of scope for some of you here I guess. So please check it out if you miss the music challenges we once had here. Here's the link to Jude's page. You'll probably love her music too so please have a listen. She records under the name of Ekatarina

Hope some of you drop by and listen to some of my music on soundclick while you're at it. Ta . . . :)

So do you miss making music? Making music with a theme in a very short time frame?

Indeed the Dreamsville Projects were quite good. In fact I have the framed draft copy of The St Valentine's Day Massacre (as done by Radium Girl / John Izzard / Michael Punslinger) and the Return of Birthday Bill (with the Bill Nelson in concert photo by John Izzard) in my Bill Nelson music room.

This might be a wonderful time to get out and listen to Dreamsville Summer, if only for Sunlit Harbour by Cinematique. But you will be singing along with Brooksie on Spinning Jenny!

Thanks for your thoughts and listening suggestions. Yes, I downloaded all the tracks from St. Valentine's Day . . . and made a double CD at the time. The artwork was magnificent. Good stuff indeed. I sometimes listen to the other projects we did back then too. Dreamsville Summer is one of them.

The latest 'music challenge' I took part in on soundclick was at Coconut Blues Club it was a great success last night. I hope that you can drop by and listen to all the tunes my musical friends created for it.

Here's the link. http://members.soundclick.com/Coconut+Blues

Hopefully you downloaded, burned to cd all 3 cds of Dreamsville Dances - Lucky 7's.

7.1 is 78 minutes long
7.2 is 79 minutes long
7.3 is 79 minutes long

Of the 55 songs, I would say that the Top 3 'singles' are:
Lucky Spinner (Slots Mix) - Stasi
Budapest (Discokingz Remix) - International Industries
Come Closer - Bloonoise

Of course your Top 3 may be different. For example: Core Ten does an electropop version of The River. International Industries does The Zone. Penguins have several, including That's It. Brooksie sings Bluesy Guitars. Planet Andy! :!:

It's been a while so I'll go and check Lucky 7 out. It was before I started contributing. Cheers . . .

Photos of the Day: Nov. 11, 2012
Participants who are singles introduce themselves during a matchmaking party organized by one of the biggest Chinese matchmaking websites in Shanghai, China on Sunday Nov. 11, 2012. Singles Day was begun by Chinese college students in the 1990s as a version of Valentine's Day for people without romantic partners. The timing was based on the date Nov. 11, or "11.11" for singles. Unattached young people would treat each other to dinner or give gifts to woo that special someone and end their single status.

Here is an example of a suggested project with a theme and a deadline.

I see the next possibility as being: Noonish for 12.12 @ 12:12 pm - theme: nooner
