That's a shame. He was still a regular on TV when I were a lad.

Altogether now.......''I'm forever blowing bubbles.....''

R.I.P Max.

RIP Max,

A very familiar figure in the 70's on TV, when asked about his success he credited his manager with it all, he said he had a very astute business manager who was great with money who helped him to his first million,

Shows what sort of back up you can use in show business, without that sort of help he would of probably been just another nightclub crooner,

I have to say that I thought he'd died about 10 years ago, so was surprised to see this.

RIP -- perhaps the last of his era.

He was hiding away in Australia. So yes, he had.

Amazingly Max Bygraves was one of the first celebrities I heard use th F-word on television. It was on Parkinson and he was telling a story about somebody who used an unfortunate spoonerism and said "Here's one for all you Sophie Fucker tans."

Good old Max, i remember that 60's thrash hit 'I'm A Pink Toothbrush'.And his line 'I wanna tell you a little story' with his arms flapping around like a string puppet on speed! DON'T mention toothbrushes to me!
In a hotel last week, and i always carry an old toothbrush, these are great for cleaning different things, shoes in this case.Anyway .one lovely clean pair of shoes later i clean the brush, shake off any water and leave it to dry overnight. Then some time later i clean my teeth with the same brush, not noticing what i had done.Wakey, wakey, morning comes, shower, breakfast, back to room, poney! clean teeth(with shoe brush) and pack to go. Picks up toothbrush and see toothbrush holder nearby with a toothbrush inside!!Bollocks! 20 glasses of water, gargling, head side to side,up,down,up down. Then leave ,convincing myself that as we all know...a little bacteria in the gut is no bad thing!
