To me, in that photo Liz looks worried and/or troubled. It does not seem like a pose of any sort.

In Liz song speak that would mean: flibby debby dibby dabby flebby fleeby flow. :?

It's from a fairly unpretentious-looking photo session. I'm a little mystified by the reactions to the photo, which looks fine to me. I certainly won't be posting any portrait photos of myself here, remarkably good-looking though I am. ;) - I couldn't take the criticism.

Oh, no prob, Alec, I realise that (and I wasn't criticising anyone). Here's the pic I probably should've posted in the first place (which is apparently from the same photo session). :)

Nice, huh? I think she's a stunner, myself - so there! Don't answer!!

The similarity is that the eyes of both women are slightly bugged out. The one I posted is of the 'runaway bride' who is known to have a physical condition that causes eye bugging. The pics of Liz F. made me think of the bride.

Hmmm. Yes, before she just looked disturbered. Now she looks brain damaged!

Sorry Ben. I obviously couldn't help myself.

Oh, and btw, anyone who's interested in the Cocteau's may want to watch Simon Raymonde's (that fellow on the left) interview over on Cherry Red television where he candidly reveals their future.

I think that picture is great, and 1000 times better. It's natural and plays against preconceptions of them/her.

What I have a problem with, from any artist, is a sense that they are trying too hard. This is completely subjective, of course. If you have real star quality, then it will present itself naturally. Just look at someone like Bolan, for instance, as opposed to Bono. Bolan was one of pop's biggest posers, but every picture is naturally him. Bono's image comes across to me as the contrived/PR'd product of a man of little personality and charisma. There is a reason why 'the man on the street' (used to) identify with him.
