I really enjoyed District 9 too.

Saw Inception at the cinema lately which I also enjoyed.

I have too many films to catch up on (including Moon). I should really give the US TV series' a rest and knock some off my list

I watched a crazy mockumentary called Big Man Japan this weekend. I really like bizarre movies, and this one delivers.

took the missus to see this last night as we're both Anchorman fans
and this is from the same director as that & its got old Will Ferrell in it.
Its a funny movie, but not in a funny haha way, just funny peculiar.

There are a few suicides in it (folks falling off buildings and smashing
into to the ground) which seemed at odds with its 12A rating as they were
supposed to be funny, but I dunno, it just didn't seem that funny as they
looked too realistic. Sight gags abound for the first half hour so its kinda
like Naked Gun but without the wit and the oddest thing is that 'Marky' Mark
seems to have all the funniest lines.

I am also mildy confused by the UK poster I saw for this film which has Will
jumping in the air brandishing wooden guns (a joke from the film) but
the US poster has real guns, so maybe we are being spared the
true horror of actual guns by the mysterious poster police.

But it's not as bad as the recent Steve Carell films Date Night & the godawful
Dinner For Schmucks but the plot is confusing/ridiculous/pointless and
there are just not enough actual jokes. We both came away from it more
confused than entertained so I throw a 6 at it, but best advice is save your money.

Will Ferrell movies seem to have gone downhill lately don't you think?

A word of advice: Don't go and see The Last Airbender and don't wait for the DVD.

If fact when the DVD comes out thoroughly destroy it.

Don't watch this film in any manner. It is rubbish.
