Well, I visit Dreamsville and sometimes I'll watch a video on youtube, though its usually if I'm looking for something specific. I don't like to surf it. I check my email of course, though its usually just junk from amazon or some other place. I have lots of games on my computer, but I find that I don't enjoy computer games as much as consoles. I'm not very good with computers and I usually meet with some frustration just trying to get a game up and running. :? I do store a lot of music on my computer as well, but again I find that I don't really listen to it much. It's more like an archive I guess.

I started with computers in the '80's as a hobby before the information "revolution" made them a necessity for just about everything I do.

I'm pretty up on a lot of the tech and can build and reconfigure my own system(s) and network(s).

I have a degree in computer science  and have worked in the IT industry since 1978.

Over a couple of evenings this week, it took me several hours to get a wireless access point to talk to my router   I blame it on the documentation

I find that hard to believe - I've never met a computer expert who would RTFM.

Got it in one. You win a pile of useless documentation, as new

It disconcerts me how much I have come to rely on my various computer related devices........

A fact illustrated perfectly by the feeling of frustration when I could not get on-line on either my phone or work PC this morning

Purely coincidental that both units had stopped working.......the router for the PC merely needed re-booting in the end ( ) but the phone did require a change of network settings. A relatively straightforward operation but one that always seems to take my phone supplier at least an hour to execute :?

I use my computer for correspondence both personal and business, music storage and playing (at work), photography and film.
