According to the rumor mill, Priapus Stratocaster's next album will be acoustic. The tenative title will be: Morningwood: Songs And Sonatas For Stiffies.

Can anyone tell me if there is any truth to this??

All kidding aside, I'd love to see Bill do another acoustic album. I keep going back to the Rosewood discs because it shows a completely different side of what Bill can do on a guitar. I find the guitar work and production to be both enchanting and intoxicating. I just recently got Gleaming Without Lights, and again, I find the lone acoustic piece fascinating for the same reasons.

The funny thing is that I almost passed over the Rosewood discs, as I thought that I wouldn't like Bill on acoustic, and lo and behold, they've become absolute favorites. I'm SO glad that I didn't pass them up.

Hopefully, Bill will consider doing another acoustic album at some point in time, that is, unless he has enough material left over from the Rosewood sessions for a Volume Three.? Now that would float my leaky boat!!

I'd like to hear him do cover versions of the songs on JTA with a banjo and a harmonica. :D

And with some accordion and bagpipes, you have a winner.
