Picture Post - how did it come about?

Not sure if this has been covered elsewhere but I am listening to "Picture Post" and curious as how Bill got asked to do this and how he was approached for this project?

Who found who?

Did the twenty2product approach Bill because they were aware of his music and heard something previously which triggered them to think a certain style / sound would be perfect companion for their documentary or some other reason?

They have uploaded about 26 minutes of the documentary onto Youtube - go check it out.

I was approached by twenty2product to make the music for the documentary. They're incredibly talented people who were already fans of my work.

Found it chimera man by putting 'american stamps' in the you tube search

hi phil!

shortly after noise candy came out, i emailed bill's management about the american stamps doc to ask if bill might be interested in supplying music for the project. i really liked holiday express and pink poodle parade (^_^), and thought something similar would be perfect for the initial test segment we were putting together for usps art director carl herrman and his stamp for duke kahanamoku. we sent bill the test and he said he would work w/ us. we shot the rest of the art directors in 2004, re-contacted bill's management and forwarded new segments as we finished them. we worked on american stamps in between client projects until 2008, when pbs licensed it for 5 years.

a friend introduced me to the love that whirls in 1982, and i've loved bills music ever since.
