Phil's recent post on the NYC '81 gig made me think of a couple of Bill's gigs I wish I could have seen if I'd known about them. Years after the fact I read Bill had opened for Berlin in San Diego. At the time I was fresh out of boot camp and didn't know my way around town yet. He'd also played in LA, which was a little over an hour's ride away.

Caught a Bill solo set (Vistamix tour) at the Savoy in NYC. Missed the Mudd Club show. Always wondered how that went, as the owner Steve was eccentric (to say the least). :lol:
