Thought the title was a touch Jobsonian! (Richard, not Steve), but the Priapus Stratocaster cleared up any concerns about a return to Europa.

Well, Priapus Stratocaster is definitely the joker in the pack! It's turning into an odd little album, ('though not complete yet.) I'm having fun with lyrics that don't actually mean anything but sound as if they might.
Also, some guitar sounds and lines with 'frayed edges,' a musical equivalent of torn jeans, (but beautifully stylish ones...of course!)

Not yet, I'm afraid...until it's actually finished and mastered it's subject to change, so I don't want to have anything too written in stone yet...but the album will be out sometime later in the year and there will be some tasters from it in the Music Salon around that time.

I like frayed edges!

This sounds promising, and I wonder how it will compare to Fancy Planets, which also had a vocal, guitar-driven bent.

Hmmm....I suppose it might be similar in some ways, but quite different in others. It's certainly not a '70s throwback rock album...nor a Red Noise re-tread, (even though there are little angular hints at that band's chromium shards.) I would imagine that it is both too fragmented and 'indirect' to offer an easy, comfortable fix for those still hoping for some sort of nostalgic return to their pop-rock youth. It's ragged but stylish, rich in texture but lean in calories. Everything is up front, on the surface, noisy and careless, but knowingly so. A crafty piece of work so far. And not really connected to Be Bop Deluxe at all. But it certainly couldn't be considered anything other than a rock album.

Just this minute completed the mix of another 'Joy Through Amplification' track. This one is titled 'To What Strange Place Will This Transport You?'

I'm now going to take a break from recording until tomorrow morning when I'll review this latest track and see whether any mix adjustments are required before I move on to another piece for the album.

By the way, had a fun conversation/brief with fellow 'Real Men With Ray Guns' designer-artist David Graham this evenibng, regarding artwork ideas for 'Joy Though Amplification.' If all goes to plan, some of you may need to hide the eventual package from any wives/girlfriends of narrow mind. It's probably going to have a far more erotic charge than even the old 'Sunburst Finish' cover, a fetishist's delight, I predict.
The album's subtitle,'The Ultra-Fuzzy World Of Priapus Stratocaster' will be treated to a mouth-watering visual counterpoint!

Stop catering to all these dirty old men and get some scantily clad males on your cover for a change
