This is the right thread for me this morning...I registered for the forum last night because I had "Here Comes Mr. Mercury" playing. I've enjoyed Bill Nelson's music ever since my high school years, when I heard "Maid in Heaven" on a local radio station.

Oh, and the other night, it was "Gleaming Without Lights".

While I'm here, I'd like to join the group that would like to see "Secret Club For Members Only" re-released. I had intended to get it a year or so back, but didn't for some reason, and now I regret it. (Sorry if this paragraph is off-topic...)

Over the weekend I listened to "Plaything" and "Fables and Dreamsongs"

When I was researching up the cover art I found this:

Quote:
People have found copies for sale all over the world. Bill says he considers all copies of this album to be bootlegs and he has yet to receive any royalties from its sale. He discourages any fan from buying it. This album will eventually be properly released.

Oops. Sorry about that. I never realised until now...........

Thanks for the greetings, all!

And just to keep on topic: it's Fancy Planets on the CD player.

Just an aside: does "streaming from the server" count as "on the CD player"?

Welcome to Dreamsville Dougmon.

'Fancy Planets', like much of Bill's work, has never been made officially available to download. Therefore streaming from the server would be discouraged in this instance. In the Dreamsville salon, there are some tracks Bill has made available to download for free. Also, 'Fancy Planets' is still available to purchase from the only official source - Sound On Sound.
Going via the salon, there are direct links to buying Bill's latest music.

Hope this helps

Hi, Dougmon, if it is a streamed version of the album you've been listening to, I wonder if you'd be kind enough to send me a private message via this forum's PM facility to let me know the source of the stream, (the internet address, etc,) so that I can alert my management people to it. Illegal streaming and downloading of albums seriously damages an artist's ability to survive. Many thanks.

Recently received an e-mail saying that Practically Wired or How I Became... Guitarboy! was to be re-released so I thought I would dig my copy out and give it a whirl. Great Stuff.
