Hello everyone. I am new here. I was wondering if there are any plans to make the boxed set, "Noise Candy" available again in the near future? The prices sellers are asking for is way more than I can afford. There other titles I would love to see made available again such as "Chance Encounters In the Garden of Lights." Also, is there going to be a CD version of "Getting the Holy Ghost Across (aka "On a Blue Wing")? I'm sure there have been others here asking the same things, but I am new here, so forgive me if all of this has been discussed before. Living here in the USA makes it even more difficult to obtain many of Bill's recordings.

This past Friday I ordered "The Practice of Everyday Life" box set and received it today! Wow! This is the best boxed set of music I have ever owned. The design is beautiful, the booklet very informative, and then there is the music...eight CDs of music! I am in the process of listening to all of it in chronological order.

Getting back to the subject of Bill's CD availability, another box set I forgot to mention is the"Secret Studio." Earlier I browsed through the Dreamsville store and could not believe how many of Bill's CD releases aren't even listed on Amazon.com here in U.S. especially the more recent ones of the past few years. They aren't even listed! How in the world am I supposed to obtain these? Where should I order them from and how? Any info will be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to Dreamsville.

Noise Candy is on the re-issue list. When is another question.

Getting the Holy Ghost is already availble on cd. However, it is probably only available via EBAY. This is true for most of Bill's out of print cds. Take heart, they are not always expensive.

Anyway, welcome to the club. You have a lot of catching up to do.

As always, visit the store and get all of the titles available there before it is too late! This benefits Bill the most.

I did a search on the site. Lots of posts about re-issues. Someone more skilled than I am, can probably pinpoint the list.

I did find this list on the Cherry Red site
http://www.cherryred.co.uk/shopcontent. ... lectronica

Plus some things have already been reissued by Esoteric (I think) - Luminous, Practically Wired.

Hope this helps.

Hi and welcome to Dreamsville. :)

Those prices are more than should be paid, even for a Bill Nelson collection.

Hopefully you will get your re-issue in the future; don't buy an original copy from eBay profiteers.

Best wishes!

Welcome to Dreasmsville, mysterytrip65... :)

Noise Candy will be coming out on the CocteauDiscs/Esoteric/Cherry Red re-issue series, though no date has been set yet. Possibly this year though. It will be much more affordable too. There are plans to reproduce the original packaging, (but in stronger physical form,) as a limited edition item, but also to make the discs available in a simpler, less expensive format too.

Getting The Holy Ghost Across has been re-issued already on cd. 'Chance Encounters will be re-issued as part of the Cherry Red/Esoteric series, I believe.

Enjoy sharing your enthusiasms with our community! :D

Just to clarify for our new member mysterytrip65:

My more recent albums, (and by that I mean albums from the last ten years or so and upcoming new releases,) are not available from retail outlets such as Amazon, which is why you won't find them listed. They are only available by mail order from the Dreamsville Department Store here on this site. The mailing out of the albums is done via the kind auspices of Sound-On-Sound magazine...To order, just go to the Store, (click on the word 'Store' under the banner heading of this page,) and browse the selection there. You can hear little clips from some of the albums too. Just follow the instructions to order the albums you want to purchase. Sound-On-Sound, (SOS,) are very efficient and provide a quick and safe delivery of your goods. :)
